smam	(smam[x] OPERATOR (INDICATOR or PERCENTAGE)) , where x is a positive integer. Do not use the % sign.	Returns the slope of the x-day simple moving average expressed as a 1-day percentage change in the x-day simple moving average.	(smam[14] < -0.5) Screens for a 0.5% or more decrease in the 14-day simple moving average from one day to the next day.

Introduction:

The 'smam' indicator is used in indicator formula construction to narrow the stock pre-screener results to include only those stocks that have a simple moving average slope restricted to the parameters set for the smam indicator.

Example:

The chart of Intel (INTC) below highlights days where the slope of the 14-day SMA was negative and indicated that the 14-day SMA fell by more than 0.5% from the previous day.
